echoBase, Inc. is looking for a proactive, highly motivated healthcare professional to contribute to our enterprise software solution in the medical industry, Resonate. We are breaking new ground in the exciting healthcare industry, creating a paradigm changing solution. The successful candidate for this position is able to provide direction for themselves and others. They will take high level goals, turn them into detailed plans, and execute on those plans.

The Senior Healthcare Consultant is responsible for staying current on all regulations and guidelines with relevance to healthcare software development and the EMR market; Resonate complements other EMR solutions and shares that market. These regulations include, but are not limited to:

• HIPAA
• ARRA
• meaningful use
• CCHIT

The successful candidate will summarize, on an ongoing basis, these regulations and keep senior management up to date. The Senior Healthcare Consultant will work with echoBase's Chief Medical Consultant and Chief Architect to ensure that all relevant regulations and guidelines (i.e. HIPAA, ARRA, meaningful use, etc.) are taken into account regarding the architecture, implementation, and deployment of Resonate.

The Senior Healthcare Consultant will also work closely with echoBase's Chief Security Officer to ensure that product security analysis plans include any necessary regulatory directives. The Consultant will provide input to corporate policies developed by the CSO and other members of the executive management team. The Consultant will plan and conduct internal audits, present reports to engineering and management teams, and assist with any necessary remediation.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Strong understanding of current U.S. healthcare regulation, privacy, and liability issues
  • Expert knowledge of HIPAA
  • Expert knowledge of ARRA and Meaningful Use
  • Familiarity with CCHIT certification requirements
  • Regulatory compliance experience in some form (i.e. auditor, audit prep, consulting, etc.)
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Preferred:
  • Regulatory audit experience
  • Healthcare enterprise software experience (development, consulting, implementation, etc.)
  • Technical information security background
  • Regulatory experience in finance (PCI in particular)
